Indianapolis (March 2, 2010) – OneAmerica Financial Partners, Inc. has made the Indiana Chamber of Commerce’s listing of Best Places to Work in Indiana for 2010.
The program honors the top companies in Indiana that are determined through employer reports and comprehensive employee surveys. Winners were selected from two categories including small to medium-sized companies of between 25 and 249 employees and large-sized companies consisting of 250 or more employees. OneAmerica was one of 42 organizations that made the list in the large-sized employer category and one of 21 companies that made the list for the first time in 2010.
“Making the list is particularly satisfying because it validates our progress in creating the type of work environment that attracts and retains the best employees,” said Dayton H. Molendorp, chairman, president and CEO for the OneAmerica companies. “Coming off the success of an exceptional overall performance in 2009, this honor only fuels our momentum as an enterprise."
To qualify, companies submitted documentation on policies, practices and demographics. Employees were then asked approximately 72 questions on the topics of leadership and planning, corporate culture and communications, role satisfaction, work environment, relationship with their supervisor, training and development, pay and benefits and overall engagement. Companies will be officially recognized May 6 during an awards dinner at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in downtown Indianapolis.
