AUL Retirement Services wins four 2010 Communicator Awards

Indianapolis (July 22, 2010) –The retirement services division at American United Life Insurance Company® (AUL), a OneAmerica company, has won four 2010 Communicator Awards from the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA). The awards were given for customized marketing communications pieces that were created by the retirement services marketing and creative design teams for new client Eddie Bauer.
AUL Retirement Services received two Awards of Excellence, the highest honor given; one for the 401(k) announcement campaign and another for a motivational video created specifically for Eddie Bauer. The division also received two Awards of Distinction for developing a customized micro site for Eddie Bauer associates. Award of Excellence winners’ work appears online in the IAVA winners’ gallery.
“We created marketing pieces that were designed to speak directly to Eddie Bauer associates,” said Mitch Haber, Southern Calif. regional sales director. “With direction from Lockton Investment Advisors, who represented the client, AUL Retirement Services was able to develop a compelling campaign geared specifically to their needs and that coincided with the Eddie Bauer brand.”
This is the first time AUL has won the Communicator Awards. In collaboration with Eddie Bauer’s benefits and creative teams, AUL’s design team was able to create compelling designs.
“Winning these awards further validates all the hard work, time and effort that the teams put forth,” said Tori Ward, manager of creative design services. “It came down to collaboration with Eddie Bauer and in-depth research of the Eddie Bauer brand that gave us key insight into what drove the company, its people and their goals.”
The Communicator Awards is the leading award program overseen by the IAVA that recognizes creative achievement across multiple communication and marketing channels. Founded 16 years ago by communication professionals, the program receives more than 9,000 entries each year. Winners are judged in six different categories including print/design, interactive, marketing effectiveness, integrated marketing campaigns, video and audio.
