Indianapolis (Feb. 24, 2010) – American United Life Insurance Company® (AUL), a OneAmerica® company, and the Council for Disability Awareness (CDA) have joined together to raise awareness on the importance of disability planning.
A collaborated effort, OneAmerica joins 14 leading disability insurance providers to educate Americans about how to protect themselves and their families, should the unexpected occur. In addition to AUL’s membership in the CDA, Vice President of AUL Employee Benefits Len Cavallaro, has been appointed to the organization’s board of directors, which consists of representatives from top industry companies who have joined forces to discuss and develop ways to promote disability awareness.

“Group disability benefits are essential to delivering on our promise to be there when customers needs us most,” Cavallaro said. “Adequate disability coverage is a common gap in the financial safety net, but by bringing leaders together to agree on the message, we can help more people understand the need and range of solutions that are readily available.”
